Yanni Shah Shah: also started building a wall on his border from 279 to 311 BC to protect his state. State of Zhao: whose king “Woling” also built a wall on its border from 299 to 325 BC. Borders of some states: connected between 206 and 221 BC, including the states of Yan, Zhao, and Qin. All these states are said to have been united during the reign of Emperor Qin Shihong.

Why Called the Great Wall of China?

The first emperor of China, Qin Shihong, also known as Shi k, was the emperor who started the Qin dynasty. It is said that this emperor combined all the states and founded a huge empire from 221 to 2026 BC, which the world knows today as “China”. During his reign, Qin Shihong began the construction of a great wall, connecting many of China’s borders. Initially, a huge wall was built on all the borders, which was about five thousand kilometres long.

After Emperor Qin Shihong, the rulers of the Chinese Empire continued to expand the construction of the wall. The Great Wall of China is a series of border forts built along the historical borders of ancient Chinese states to prevent enemy attacks. It is said to be the longest man-made structure, about 21,100 km long, 9 meters wide, i.e., about 30 feet, and 15 meters high. According to experts, this wall was built by six Chinese families of China, and its age is said to be about 2300 years.
